The Specialty Hospital of Washington recognized Dr. James Cobey at its recent Medical Executive Meeting in recognition of his community and worldwide humanitarian works in the medical field. Dr. James Cobey has been on the staff at The Specialty Hospital of Washington since 2006. He is also an orthopedic surgeon at Washington Hospital Center.
In 1997 Dr Cobey shared the Nobel Prize for the International Campaign to Ban Land Mines. He is a member of Physicians for Human Rights and has been a lifelong advocate of humanitarian causes and has helped thousands of patients and war victims of land mine causalities with his specialized orthopedic training.
